Petr: I left early for Reno, the second most popular city in Nevada after Las Vegas. But while Las Vegas is famous for quick marriages (there are even drive-in chapels), Reno is famous for quick divorces (72 hours). What a combination!
I checked out a few campgrounds and settled for one right on S. Virginia Avenue, the main stretch to downtown Reno and the glitzly casinos. I did not take any pictures. I need to learn how to use the night features to capture the neon signs, so hopefully I will know by the time we reach Las vegas. I spent the day driving around with the Vespa. Tonight I am picking up Laura at the airport.
Laura: Today I am flying back to the RV and Petr. After packing up in the morning, I take the bus to the red Line and the new Silver Line into the airport. I have to change planes twice in Columbus, OH and Atlanta, GA - luckily with not much wait in-between. Still, spending almost an entire day in airports is not particularly fun. I get into Reno at 10:30pm and Petr is right there to pick me up. I go to bed with a mighty headache, hoping that a good night's sleep will chase it away. |
